    Need input from revolver guys...

I'm currently looking for a new leather holster for my Rossi 462 2" .357. Do any of you that EDC a K frame (or over) sized revolver have any problems with the gun working it's way up out of the holster? I would prefer to buy an open top, but I don't want to be sorry that I didn't get a holster with a strap. What do you say?

A normal K-frame 2" will work perfectly for the Rossi 462. Thumb breaks are over kill for a holster designed for the gun and can get in the way of reholstering.

    I have them covered.

no I have never had a revolver work itself out of a holster. Even crawling under cars and jogging down the walk way.

I own manufactured holsters that work just as well as hand mand/custom holsters. As true with any holster, cheap out and you will regret it.
There is something about firing 4,200 thirty millimeter rounds/min that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I threw one holster away for a semi-auto, because I went to get out of the car..... and the gun was sitting on the seat ... it had fallen out.

As far as holsters on revolvers, I've never had any issue with one falling out of an open top. When I ride my motorcyle, I use one with a thumb brake .... so the guns stays where it is no matter what position I'm in, what I'm doing, and / or if I ever went down.

Buy a quality Galco® or Bianchi® holster and you will never look back. I have carried revolvers daily for over 35 years in these two brands of holsters; never had a problem of the gun working out of the holster.

Yep. Your Rossi would look great in Lobo Gun Leather gear. The rigs are custom hand built by Ray, one at a time and you get it in about 3-4 weeks, at a very reasonable price.

Here's my Combo from Lobo ...
