Holster for inside my fanny pack

Yeah I know a fanny pack. I am over 50 and it is a great carry, especially on the scoot, for the reading glasses, receipts and so most don't see gun.

Anyways, my M&P 9c's front sight catches on the current holster that was for the Glock 26. I need to either find a Kydex molded for the gun or something like a Uncle Mike's. Looking for guidance on who might have something like this at the cheapest cost. It just needs to hold the gun in position for quick access and to cover the trigger guard.

    Thanks.

Maybe one of those cheap Uncle Mike's cloth holsters could be sewn in onto the inner lining of your pack? That's what I've been thinking about trying. I carried in a fanny pack hiking not too long ago, and it was pretty convenient but draw was terrible. They make dedicated gun fanny packs with built in holsters; shop around online for them. They might give you some good ideas about how you could mod your own on the cheap.

When I hear the term "FANNY" pack,I think of Prison carry and I don't think I could ever make a holster that would fit comfortably

The Fanny Pack I have has a nylon holster or " Security Module" as they call it that attaches with velcro inside. It's more of a strap than a holster and I find I don't need the thumb break so leave that off but it covers the trigger well. It's positionable too. You can get one from them here: http://www.hawkepaks.com/prod.itml/icOid/158

I would say ditch the fanny pack and buy a Tommy Gun Pack. I have one of the deluxe models when they were on sale, absolutely love the thing.

I got one of these for the exact same purpose:

Blackhawk Universal Holster for Attaché or Urban Carry Cases

I had to sew loop side velcro inside the pack, but it works. I use a "waist pack" for bicycling and it has it's place for carry...

Uncle mikes # 4 pocket holster. Fits the m&p compact good. It will cover the trigger and hide printing.

I would have to respectfully disagree. There is a front pocket for I.D. CPL etc. The pocket behind that one has an elastic band in it with 3 slots for magazines, and the main gun compartment is padded on both sides. The padding not only pads, obviously, but the compartment keeps the pistol in the ready position. Instead of unzipping the compartment like a fanny pack you simply pull on the faux buckle on the right side and the zippers tear apart. I have practiced this with an unloaded firearm and deployment is very fast. I would take this pack over a regular "fanny" pack any day. It is more expensive but Tommy Gun Packs runs special deals all the time. If someone is comfortable with a regular fanny pack that is all good. But this type of pack offered me a much better solution.
