    More questions on supertuck ?

Hi guys,I have discovered perry suspenders and it puts a whole new light on IWB carry.I have been carrying my 1911 full size around the house in a cheap collapsible IWB without having to cinch my belt so tight in order to keep my pants up and even it was comfortable. Now to my question.Do you have any problem reholsterering with it ? Does it sit about where the belt would hit the kydex so you can reholster ? I am about sold on trying one out,but have been puting it off cause I think its so damn ugly, but as one poster said, its concealed so no one is going to see it anyway. sj

Maybe a little tricky at first (my decocker lever wants to grab the leather) but wit a very small amount of practice it is not a problem. Once you try it you will love it as I am sure many will attest to.

It depends on how you set the "ride". I adjust mine to be right at the level of my pants/belt. With suspenders, I would think it would be even better, as you would not have your belt as tight.

I have the combat cut on my ST, it is the most comfortable IWB holster I have ever tried. As far as re-holstering, I've never had a problem with it, but with suspenders and a loosened belt it would only get easier.

To the OP, give it a try, you won't regret it. And if you do, send it back, you get 2 weeks to try it out. If you don't like it, they will buy it back. You have nothing to lose.

The ride height that my ST was set at when I received it was perfect. It was just the right cant and the top of the holster was just past the top of my pants. This way the pants don't get in the way when reholstering.

On the ugly factor, who cares? Yes, certain holsters are pretty, functional and are nice to take pictures of. The CBST is functional and comfortable. The one that I have for my G30 is breaking in quite nicely. It gets more comfortable everyday.

If you get the combat cut, just make sure that it doesn't interfere w/ your magazine catch. I had to make an additional cut to mine because my mag catch was dropping the mag w/ certain movements.

Get one, I don't think you will regret it.

The ride height is adjustable with several holes. Mine rides even with the top of my pants. The shirt is more aggravating than the pants when re-holstering. The kydex holds it's shape, so it's really a non issue. Unless you set it below the waist line on the pants.

It's a toss up. I have them for different weapons so it is hard to give a very accurate comparison. I have had the MTAC for awhile for my G27,19,23. It is very comfortable. Only drawback was that I had to keep tightening the retention screws until the point where the little rubber inserts had to be removed. Now it is as tight as can be and the retention has held on.

I've only had the CBST for a short time. But the clips are a good bit further apart than the MTAC. This helps me because the ST is for my G30 which is heavier than the 27. The leather and kydex are slightly thinner than the MTAC.

IMO they are both exellent holsters.

I've had my CBST for about 2 and a half months and after the break in period I wear it now and don't even know it is there. I made some adjustments on mine to get the cant right and to be able to unholster and holster w/o any problems. If you go with a CB you won't be sorry IMHO.

I didn't order the combat cut. I cut it myself to my specific gun with a box cutter. I also had to cut out for the mag release; I didn't have an incident but I would rather not have anything touching the mag release while the gun is holstered.

I carry a full size 1911 with a magwell. I set the ride height so that the kydex hits at my belt (the beltman belt). I can conceal it well at 3:00 under a t shirt and even better with the Columbia/Magellan fishing shirts. I'm 6'2" and 188 lbs.

    Hope this helps.

I have noticed that the clips look to be farther apart on the ST,would that make the comp-tac any less comfortable ?

The clips being far apart helps distribute the weight of heavier pistols out.
