I can't think of any main stream holster that would cover a grip, laser or not. You should be fine.... Unless you are a lefty?

I have 3 different guns with CT. S&W 642, Sig P220 45, and a Sig 239 40. and did have a P229 40 with it. None of them have a problem fitting a leather holster.

Not sure about the plastic holsters, as I do not own one. Do not like them.

it depends on the holster. They're not all cut the same. Some of them sit the pistol a bit differently at the rear cocking serrations (around the point where a CT laser would poke out). You might want to inquire with the holster manufacturer. Most of them could make a cut for you if it's necessary. I know that Pure Kustom holsters would need additional work to fit because of how they're cut at that part. Rocky could do it easily I'm sure if you needed. Other manufacturers might be similar. Again check with them.

All of my 1911 holsters work just fine with my 1911 with CT grips.

I have Crimson Trace on my XD40 subcompact, and I had to trim the kydex on my Crossbreed Supertuck to clear the laser. Check this thread if you are looking at the supertuck.

    Shouldn't........

If in doubt, check at the shop prior to purchasing.
