WIll a Charter arms Bull Dog pug 44 fit in a S&W jframe holster??? I am thinking about buying one and have a nice j frame hoslter. Thanks Robbie
The answer is...it depends. The .44 typically has a longer barrel than the usual 2" J-frame and the cylinder is definitely thicker in diameter (it's closer in size to a Colt Detective Special). That said I've seen some J-frame holsters that will stretch to accommodate the extra size, but there are many that won't.

This is an open bottom slide type holster with a retention screw...so I may be in good shape...
I have an Unkle Mikes ankle holster that fits a Pug better than the J frame its "made" for. You'll just have to try and see. Use WW Silvertips in that Bulldog, they are NOT a robust design.
