Speed Strip Holder, Have to show it off!

A month or two back I took a risk and bought a left handed IWB holster for my S&W 442 on ebay. I couldn't have been happier. So then I was on the look out for a nice pouch to hold speed strips. I tried a blackberry phone pouch but it just didn't work out like I wanted. So I emailed the guy that I bought the holster from and he said he would try to make me one. I sent him me dimensions and he made one up. It fits 2 speed strips side by side perfectly. It is very comfortable in the back pocket. Attached some pics to show it off.

How do you draw one without the other coming along for the ride?

I have tried it a few times and they don't come out together. I plan on sanding the letters off of the backs so they draw even easier and maybe bending the tops so I have two distinctive pull tabs. Just need to practice with it!

Remove the tab on one of them .this way you will pull one out when you need it...you don't need a tab on the other one...:)

Doesn't that holder kind of take the 'speed' off of the speed strip?
    I'm just sayin'...

Still need the tap to hold while I reload.

Doesn't slow my down compared to plain pocket carry. I did this so they are always in the same position and the same spot in the pocket. I feel it may have actually sped up my access. And it encourages me to carry reloads with with pistol, which is a good thing!

Sticking folded tissue paper down on one end of the pouch just enough to slightly elevate the [strip] tab, might make single strip grab and extraction a little quicker..?

I like that idea! Since I only carry 5 on each strip, I could cut the bottom shell holder off of one strip and the tap would site a shell casing lower.

Strip are inexpensive and fairly available, but I'm not sure I'd cut off the bottom shell holder. It would lower the strip into the pouch, thereby minimizing tab access a bit.

It also restricts loading to only 5 rounds, and eliminates cartridge loading options like the 2-space-3 style.

    Just a thought...

I dad have him round out one side for easier access. I might stop today and pick up an extra set and give it a shot. If it doesn't work, oh well, no biggie.

Cool beans. It's a nice pouch, in deed.

    Nice pouch.

    How much would one cost?

He only charged me 20$ shipped. But it was the first one he ever did. So he may charge more for it depending on what he had into it.
