My pistol, ammo and knives stay on my person. I'm not a fan of carrying a weapon in a bag unless I'm carrying it to the range.
It would suck if you left your versapack behind or if some BG grabbed it off of you.

dont carry a gun in anything that isnt attached to your body.
I find the safepacker to be a good 'hidden in plain sight' kinda thing:

nobody has looked twice at me with it on. though i am a girl, i wouldnt expect much as a guy either. especially since it looks outdoorsy, or dangle some headphones out of it to look like a gadget bag.

I use my FatBoy Versapack as a camera bag. I also carry extra magazines as well.

I will continue to keep mine on my person, why chance losing it to a grabber or have someone question what you are carrying?

About five years ago I had to have my right hip replaced and I had to search for an alternative to on the body carry. I came upon the Maxpedition Versapack. Maxpedition is well known for the quality of its products and the Fatboy is certainly one of those. This is a quality product and serves its purpose well. I recommend it without reservation.

I like it because it mirrors very much the computer bag I am frequently forced to carry anyway. I prefer to carry on my person, but occasionally its useful.

IMO: It's kinda creepy UNLESS you're hiking, biking... When mountain biking I use my camelbak for gun. I carry everyday IWB Holster, Dual Mag IWB holder, ZT-0301 in front pocket.
