    Interesting IWB/OWB design...

I saw this holster on a local gun forum that I am on, http://www.northwestfirearms.com/forum/

It caught my attention as an interesting and unique IWB/OWB convertable holster. It looks similar to the MTAC, but with all leather, and it has belt loops located behind those belt clips, so it can serve as a OWB rig. I figured I would post it up, as the availability of convertable holsters seems to be pretty limited.

Nothing new about this idea but it is interesting that they used this with an all leather holster.
I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry.

Really? Where else have you seen a convertable IWB/OWB that is adjustable for cant and ride height? Pure Kustom is the only other I can think of.

Bluegrass holsters did it and K&D does it still, there's probably a couple more, but the names are evading me. I think it was either K&D or Bluegrass that came up with the idea.

K&D pioneered the all leather holster with Comp-tac clip design. At least they are the very first I saw of those kind. I always wanted one...

I convert my Pancake holsters with steel spring clips and chicago screws all the time.

Basically you take a pair of spring clips, drill a hole in the back side (this is where a drill press and some good, hard diamond/carbide bits is a good idea as spring steel is effing hard! ... this last set I did I ended up drilling a small pilot hole and then using a dremel with a cone shaped grinder attachment to get the hole large enough).

I got the spring clips here.

Then you use some Chicago Screws (you can usually get them at leather-work supply stores) and a couple washers (from Ace Hardware).

    They go together like this:

Cant and ride height are fully adjustable.

But I've kicked around the idea of picking up some of those clips from CompTac (which you can buy here) and converting a pancake into a tuckable.

Since I'm considering changing jobs soon, if I end up in an environment where I have to wear a shirt tucked in I may yet.

No plastic on my holsters not even the loops.

Zundfolge, great idea. Looks like a great way to have the IWB/OWB versatility at a less expensive rate. Looks like you have it set up as a crossdraw.

Little Bear Holsters offers something like this and can build it to fit clips like this or use standard leather loops if you prefer.
