Hello everyone,
Somebody on another forum asked me to make a holster for his 1911 and to do it in my Apocalyptic Survivor style. Well, I've only done two before this one, so it was definitely a learning experience. What do you guys think?

That's only your 3rd holster? You must already have a nice sewing machine, because that sure doesn't look hand stitched!
Nice work! So many talented leather folks here.

Thanks! It's all hand-stitched with artificial sinew. I can't afford one of the nice leather sewing machines, but even if I could I don't know if I would get one. On the one hand they make stitching so much fast and easier, but on the other hand they do lock-stitching, which isn't as strong as saddle-stitching done by hand

I very much like the distressed look. Has an old comfy look to it, but still kind of mean and grizzled.

Outstanding look!!
If I tried to make a holster, it would look "distressed," and I don't mean a custom finish. Seriously, though, I can imagine a market for the finish, especially with old-fashioned looking holsters, that is not being serviced.
