    IWB holster for Glock 27

I am looking for a IWB holster for my Glock 27. I think that I have narrowed it down to the following holsters:

    1) Highnoon Tailgunner
    2) Milt Sparks Summer Special 2
    3) Fist #1A
    4) Mich Rosen ARG-EXP

I have a Tailgunner horse hide with clip for my J-frame and carry it often and find it very comfortable and easy to conseal. My worry is that the tailgunner is a very thick holster and the G27 a very think pistol and together the combo may to too much to carry comfortably. I am a tall thin guy and have trouble with some holsters printing too much to carry. If you have first hand experience with any of these holsters I would love to hear your input. Thanks for your help.

The ones you listed are all good choices, but almost all have pretty long wait times.

    Good luck and welcome.

The Glocks are bulky handguns. The Model 27 is also a relatively short piece, which can be a factor with IWB-style holsters. The holster must adequately secure the bulk of the weapon inside the waistband, but with shorter handguns this can compromise the ability to get a proper grip on the weapon during the draw.

I hope this helps you to evaluate specific designs.

Welcome. Personally, I use the FIST #1A for my G26 and have no complaints. The wait time was less than three weeks.

I am very very happy with my Comp Tac MTAC and a G26. It is as comfortable as an OWB.

Thanks for the replys and info. I'm not really worried about wait times , within reason, I just want a good quality holster that I will be happy with and will serve me well for many years. I have an off the shelf cheap holster I use now I just would like something a little nicer that is more comforable than the cheapy I am using now. Like I said I have been very happy with my tailgunner that I use for my J-frame, I just prefer to carry the G27 and want to be more comfortable when doing so. I like the idea of a minimalist style holster, but don't want to sacrifice support or comfort. The G27 is pretty thick and a thinner holster should be a little more comfortable, at least in my mind. Also, I have a very nice OWB, but its summer and that just doesn't work with jeans/shorts and a t shirt.

Right about 3:45. It's not what I would consider 'tuckable' though. I need either my shirt out or a cover jacket. The holster has a steel J-hook that makes sure it stays there, but it's still very easy to remove and re-insert the entire rig.

If you have no problem with a Tailgunner for a J frame, the Glock will dissapear in the Tailgunner. Its profile is flat, the J is lumpy.
