I had one that came with my Browning Hi-power some 25 years ago....I don't carry it but the holster is well made, stable and fast into action as you just pull down on the gun and it comes out of the spring loaded rig....newer rigs like the Galco Miami Vice may look cooler, but a hanging gun is much less comfortable than one attached to you belt snugly under your arm...of course, I gave up shoulder rigs completely as they have never been very practical for my needs....I sold it some time back....:)
i took the x15 rig and put the horizontal holster of a miami classic on it. then i changed the stiff elastic with a 36'' piece of one inch elastic they sell at wal mart, its a little lighter. this is the most comfortable shoulder holster i ever had to carry larger guns [glocks].

So you replaced the vertical holster with a horizontal one using the X15 harness? Clever.

I use an X-15 style holster from Triple-K that I modified to fit a Beretta 92. I got rid of the harness by making a new harness and a dual mag carrier. It fits nice, and with the belt snap on the holster side, and the tie down on the mag carrier side everything stays in place. I like the vertical holster, and for me it conceals nicely, even with a large gun like the Beretta.
Have one I used years ago for handgun hunting with a Ruger Super Blackhawk. Had no problems and much more comfortable than a belt holster for 7 ½ inch barrel.

I used one about 27 years ago to carry a 1911 Combat Commander off duty,I was a lot thinner then, and in a light jacket the butt printed,I'm thinking if I did it again I'd go horizontal
