Just finished my first holster!
Decided I would try my hand at holster making....No one offered a leather holster for my new Diamondback 380 so I started with it. It turned out pretty good and learned a lot, some things I will do different on the next one but overall pleased.
In the pic it is sitting in front of a fan drying out and I plan on dying it black tomorrow but will leave the brown trim piece brown.

Not too shabby. But, I wonder how those loops will work out with such an aggressive cant.

Good for you! Making a holster of your own out of necessity is definitely a plus! If you can't find it, make it. That goes above and beyond what most may be satisfied with. It says a lot about you....making change where change is needed. Wishing you the best of luck in whatever you do or seek.

That's just plain awesome! the only suggestion I would make is some stitching around the belt loops.

Not bad at all.
Couple of suggestions.
1. For OWB hot wet forming it harder will produce a good result.
2. Burnish the edges and top coat inside and out with an acrylic finish.
3. Make the belts slot height as close to your belt width as possible.
Much better than my first holsters.

The first several will teach you things you shoulda done first, ways to do it quicker and better, how to finish them nicer etc.
My first holster I thought I would use my bench vise to squeeze the leather together on the bottom side of the holster, that way I would know exactly where to stitch for a perfect fit,It left a nice waffle impression from my Vice jaws in the leather
