    Pistol Packin Pops

Say the tittle 5x fast LOL!!!

Ok seriously, about to be a new dad and I'm looking for a diaper bag that can also have some tactical uses. You know, hold some extra diapers and a few extra mags

My wife's friends did not have me in mind when they brought the diaper bag, sooo fathers what brand do you guys carry?

A good size range bag will double as a diaper bag pretty well. Don't ask me how I know.

    Forget the diaper bag

I would recommend 5.11 tactical vest in black (get the cotton/poly blen _ it's cooler in the summer. Plenty of pocket for diapers, wipes, extra clothes, and two bottle holders in the back.

Oh, and it works pretty well as a cover garment too.

Thanks guys. I checked out the range bag 11aLT....wife said it's a no go :(
I thought it was fire, she didn't agree.
I'll look into the vest, that may work....

I would not be mixing any tactical equipment used at the range with anything that may come in contact with an infiant's body. IMO a diaper bag should just have diapers, wipes, baby formula, bottles etc.. Carry your gear on your person.

Congrats on your need for a diaper bag!

That vest idea is a good one. I agree with what NY27 says, without having gun stuff in it first.

They also make good sturdy vests with TONS of space for Ski Patrol. Look under National Ski Patrol.

What do you mean...they are never too young to go to the range! LOL, JK. I agree. Congratulations to the OP on the new baby! Take care!

    LOL!! Sandman, my sentements exactly!!

    Thanks for the well wishes

Just to put some of your minds at ease, I thought about the contamination issue so my original reason for wanting the bag has changed. I want it now because I know it'll be durable (I think I want at least one more little one) and once I'm done with the crumb snatchers errr...little blessings :) I can still get use out of the bag.

Again, thanks for taking the time to read and respond!!

Geez, not sure on this one: the wife told you no go on a diaper bag that you'd be perfectly willing to carry?

Maybe dressing it up with one of these might help?

Well I am guessing that your "diaper" bag is not gonna be the primary, just one with a few "get by" items. Mom's bag will be the "go to". I agree with most of the ideas about not having gun stuff around baby stuff. but so mant of these bags are compartmented out that you could put them in spearate sections and they wil never have contact with each other. JMO. YMMV Here are a few of my suggestions....

I use the diaper bag they gave us at the hospital (that black carnation good-start brand one strap thing) as my range bag... we use a store bought diaper bag for the boy :D
