Looking for a simple holster for Glock 19
Saw one at a local gun show. It was essentially 2 pieces of leather sewn together with a metal clip - the barrel stick outs. The piece of leather was slightly triangular, maybe 4 inches wide, 2-3 tall - don't really remember exactly.
This would allow for IWB or OWB. They wanted $20 which seemed high for some scrap leather and a clip.
It would be nice while driving and also at the range.
Anyone make/sell these? Looking to spend about $10.

Try Ebay, there are a lot of cheaply made holsters like that for sale.

What you're looking for I think is a yaqui holster. Google is your friend for these.

Buy cheap several times, buy quality...once!OMOYMV
(Also, I don't prefer to have the barrel of the gun exposed...too easy to ding the front sight IMHO.)

If you're going to carry a firearm buy the best holster and a good quality gun belt, that you can afford. Otherwise, you will not be happy with your carry system.
Good luck.

You're getting some good advice here. I have a box full of reasons why cheap holsters don't work and end up costing you more. Don't be like me.

You get what you pay for. What do you expect to get for $10?

I have a brand new Alessi ankle rig for G19/G23 (L) for sale if you are interested. It has not been used even once. Paid $150, asking $85.

Good luck.
I have another IWB holster from Sheilded Holsters (It's like a CBST) and I very happy with it as my primary - sorry I should have stated that before. The primary purpose of this is longer rides in the car and at the range. I was also considered a Fobus paddle - which they now have that rotate.
Do you have other recommendations for car trips? Thanks.

Go to www.rogueelite.net on of the sponsors here.
Don Hume H715 inside the waistband for $24 or H721 OT outside the waistband pancake style for $35.
Both very good holsters that cover the trigger, which is the only way I'll carry a Glock, (or any other "safe action") pistol.

The Glock sport combat holster is really inexpensive and works well. Its OWB only though so don't know if it fits your requirements.

You think $20.00 is high for a holster? You want to spend $10.00? Well, I suppose you could go down to Wal-Mart and get one of those universal holsters they sell made for a BB/Airsoft gun. They're about $7.95 so you'd have some change left over.
Good luck with it.
