    My latest creation

Ok, so a few days ago I posted my first couple holsters. I just finished another last night and want to see what you all think. This was the first time I had used Resolene, I used a damp sponge to apply in thin coats. I have to do a better job with applying my dye. I have been dyeing after I mold. Next I think I will try pouring all my dye into a pan of some sort and laying my project in flat before I mold. One pic is really red, that's from the flash it's actually darker and the color is supposed to be tan. Anyway, see what you think.

I think it looks pretty good. Is that a sweatguard peeking out from behind the Glock? That would be a nice addition. You might consider a lighter background for the photos to get a better contrast. The clips and dark portions disappear on the black background. No recommendations for the dye; I don't work with leather.

Good looking holster, Much better than I can do that's for sure.

Thanks for comments. I definitely should use a different background. My wife had this black material laying around. I definitely like how it came out and it super comfortable. Much more so than the Bluegrass Baby Ghost I have.

It does have a sweatguard. I have incorporated this feature into all I've made so far. I've tried to keep just a bit bigger than the slide so it doesn't flap and start curling around the gun.

Looks nice. But I don't see a reinforced mouth. Does it stay open when the gun is drawn and let you re-holster one handed?

It does pretty well. It turned out the frontside piece of leather was a little thicker than the back, so the front is pretty strong. It is something I may think about adding if I make another one.

I dye after I mold, but I submerse dye. It's easier when you do volume, you can buy gallons of dye. If you dye before you mold, the leather has a different feel and it's not as easy to mold, in my opinion. I've tried many things, but dunk-dying is most effective, in my opinion. Otherwise, black always looks good.

Your right Nate, I think it is easier to mold before you dye. I did one last night and it was tougher to mold and seemed to wrinkle more. I'll post a pic once it dries good.
