My El Paso Saddlery holster drama continues...

From my other thread, you may recall I ordered a SnapOn Elite (or something like that) from El Paso Saddlery.

FedEx tracking indicated it was delivered to my front door 31-Aug, but it wasn't. I contacted FedEx, and they said they'd look for it. Well, yesterday, I'm standing in my front yard, just about to do a 50' climb into a tree to cut out some dead limbs and here comes a neighbor that lives two houses away; he has a box under his arm.

The box says El Paso Saddlery on it. Yeaaaaa!!!!. Two days late but here it is at least by the weekend.

It's a really nice holster too; if it had just been for the full size P250 .45 like I ordered instead of the compact size like they built.

Now you know what I have to go through - ship it back, wait for them to make another, wait for my neighbor to bring it to me again. :frown:

Sometimes things just don't go as smoothly as expected. :tongue:

LOL - so true. Although with a little effort and patience I'll eventually get the upper hand on ol Murphy. 'course I may not remember why I ordered the holster in the first place by then. :tongue:

Considering the circumstances, I won't chew you out for no holster porn....this time.

I would be a lot quicker just to go buy the compact gun!

Don't think I haven't been thinking about that - well a 'kit' anyway, that might be just the thing.

I've actually been on the other side of the same situation. I had a holster a few months ago get delivered to the wrong house on the same street. It was actually several houses down on the wrong side of the street, thankfully another neighbor who was a good guy and brought it over to the customer but certainly had us both a little irritated;) Glad to hear you got it sorted out, sometimes shipping just doesn't go the way you want it to, nor the holster company:)

This happens so often in our neighborhood that at least once a week a neighbor calls and ask if we received a package for them.

Arriving at the wrong address is always "my fault" or so that seems to be their excuse. I cannot count the number of times, we have had packages delivered to wrong addresses, sometimes in the pouring rain to sit on a doorstep for 2 or 3 days,before someone realizes FedX or UPS screwed up again. Aggravating when we live in a very rural area, where homes are widely scattered, and thankfully most everyone knows everyone. I have even had them tell me "they have records, where I signed for the package".

Sorry to hear they made your order for the wrong size gun. So now the wait begins.

Did you call their customer service and if so, what did they say and how was your issue handled?

That is unfortunate. FedEx is usually pretty good. If the shipping address was correct on what you received, It might be worth your while to discuss the problem with FedEx customer service. Actually, El Paso should be contacting them since you never took delivery of the package.

At any rate, they sent you the wrong size holster. What model was it?

I looked at their measurement chart (if you can call it that). It is somewhat confusing to me. First, it says Automatic not semi-automatic. Second, it says bolt. Where is there a bolt on a pistol? It shows two measurements, one to the front of the ejection port and the other to the rear. Which one is correct?

I measured both for a full size Sig P250. The measurements I got were:
3 11/16" from the end of barrel to the front edge of the ejection port.
4 1/2" from the end of barrel to rear of the ejection port.

I would guess the longer dimension would be correct since that would cover the trigger.

8 weeks seems like a long lead time. I hope they can improve on that for you.
