My next latest creation
This is a discussion on My next latest creation within the Defensive Carry Holsters & Carry Options forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; This time I feel like my finish came out better than before. I'm not completely happy with the design. I feel like there is too ...

Looks good.
The only small critique I would give is to make it just a bit longer to cover the barrel.
Nice job!

Nice job!
Your right, it was really supposed to be for my 26, but the 19 was easier to get put in when I was molding. I must have made my pocket too small or something.

Looks great. I would add a sweat guard on the rear.

It looks very nice, but a sweat guard should make a big difference. Good job!

Thanks for the comments. I have added a sweat guard on everything except this one so far. I wanted to see how it would turn out since the design came up so high anyway.

It looks nice. I'd say it's fine without the sweat gaurd. I prefer not to have a sweat guard because it usually feels like it's jabbing me in the side.

Looks great! I think it's already high enough to forgo the sweatguard too!

I think it looks really good. From what I can tell, you've got quite a bit of forward cant. I like to carry that way also. I've never seen a sweat guard on a belt holster, and I really don't think one is necessary.
The color is especially nice. May I ask which dye you used?
I also like how closely the stitching is to the gun...that's not an easy task, and the boning is nicely defined. I have yet to make a belt holster; that may be my next attempt.
Over all a very nice job.....holster making becomes habit forming doesn't it? I was just working on my third holster for the Sig 250, I guess I either have to buy more carry guns, or divest myself of some holsters..

Thanks, it is about 15 degrees forward. The dye is "Tan" from Tandy, not sure what the number is. I actually made the holster to fit my 26, but I swear it's almost like it's thicker or something I could not get it to go in. So I grabbed my 19 when I was trying to mold and got it to go in. I wish I could take credit for the stitching being so close to the gun, but it's kind of an accident. It definitely is addicting, once I complete one I just want to make a different design and improve the finished product.
