I was just wondering this as i just ordered the Richie leather company version of this holster he calls the "nighthawk" for my Colt Cobra. What are you overall impressions of this IWB holster,as far as comfort and concealment goes?

I have Talon Plus holsters for my snub and 1911. The Plus has an extended top to protect you, or your clothing, from the hammer.

They conceal well and don't come out on the drawstroke.

The clip will NOT fit over my Beltman belt so I have to put it on the waistband of the pants. This works fine for the snub. However, if the belt loops on your pants are very far apart, then the pant top sags with the 1911. For that reason, I prefer holster that put the weight on the belt when carrying that weapon.

    Hope this helps.

The Alessi Talon clip was never meant to be mounted on the belt. If one does this the clip will eventually break. The clip is to be secured to the wasitband with the belt offering lateral support.

    Talon clip

Craig is totaly correct. Louie and I designed and patent the Talon NYclip in the mid 80's. We designed it to be worn under the belt or beltless. The addition of a belt does add to the overall security and concealment of the firearm. I hope this clears things up. Skip Ritchie
