    Pocket holster for Kahr P380

Anyone have one that they would recc?

I might eventually get TC laser on this thing, but I doubt anytime soon.

I don't want IWB or OWB. If I have enough space for something like that, I'll just get the MP9c to wear IWB

I might get IWB one down the road, but for now I'm looking for a good pocket holster for the P380. Thanks!

There are some really good choices out there. I have a Kahr P380, Seecamp 32 and a Ruger LCP, so I have quite a few different pocket holsters. A few choices, not in any particular order.

    1. I carry my Kahr P380 with Crimson Trace LaserGuard in a Keeton Custom Leather stingray holster. It fits perfectly in my jeans and the hook is great for catching the inside of my pocket.

    2. I carry my Kahr PM9 magazines in a Adams SharkBite Pocket Holster. The shark skin has a great deal of traction and will keep the holster in my pocket when I draw a magazine. I'd imagine that it would do the same for a gun holster.

    3. I carry my Seecamp 32 in an Aker Pocket Express, which conceals exactly like a wallet. I have also carried it in a Stellar Rigs holster. It's extremely thin and it also holds a magazine.

Btw, do leather holsters stay in the pocket? They seem so smooth that they would just come out of the pocket with the pistol!

A simple Google search finds it: mika holster.

For the Kahr PM9 or P380, I've tried some different ones for pocket carry, including the Pocket Softy by Mitch Rosen, the Front Pocket Horsehide holster by Galco (loose-fitting), the Pocket Defender (or PD/Convertible) by K&D Holsters, plus a couple other simpler designs like the Mika and Galco. Of them all, for eliminating printing and ensuring the gun is kept in a proper orientation, I prefer the K&D Pocket Defender / Convertible for the P380. It's available either with or without the front "flap" for added break-up of the contours.

I don't recommend or prefer leather pocket holsters. Leather holsters have natural retention and retention doesn't go well with a pocket holster. For small semi's I like the Nemisis pocket holsters. For revolvers there is nothing better than the Mika holsters. The round cut for jeans and square cut for slacks. YMMV

From what I have seen in pocket holsters, besides material (kydex is the lightest and pocket holsters, IMO, had better be light and easy--if they make the pistol that way, the holster should follow suit), all of them have "horns" or "sticky" to maintain position in pocket. The only exception are the ones that have a "thumb push" (FIST and Grandfather Oak are two). As you draw pistol from holster in pocket, your thumb pushes down of the reinforced ledge on holster as your hand lifts up the gun--walla--opposing forces at the right moment maintain holster position as you draw. You can actually make your own "thumb push". I have a cheap Uncle Mikes material and a kydex and I just permanently glued a piece of bike tire at the right thumb position and they work just as well--not pretty so if you buy for looks this is not it--I buy for use and since it is in my pocket, I do not care what it looks like. Another design that I like, I have, I use, and is completely different, is the concealment concepts pocket pal wallet holster. May not have true trigger guard (the main criticism) but the trigger is recessed within the confines of the leather hole. Look it up on internet for more info. It makes holster and pistol one piece on draw and firing. I like it for storage in my car console for ease of reaching in and not having to play with a holster as I try to draw the pistol. Summary: kydex, thumb push, unique pocket pal wallet holster.
