Has anyone tried this belt for EDC? I see a few reviews that mention using it for carry but nothing about long term use as a carry belt.

I have one that I 've had for about 3 month's now with no problems what so ever. It's not as stiff as some of the strictly gun belts but it seems to work fine.I use it with a super tuck and a don hume 721 open top.I cary either a glock 19 or a taurus slim 9.
I have one and it works great. The finish tends to scratch easily but keep in mind you get what you pay for. For the purpose of holding my CCW securely it does just fine.
I just took a look at it and it looks pretty good. It is a single layer of leather thus will not be as stiff as a true gun belt which is a double layer, glued and sewn but for some, certainly do the job. And the price is right.
Go for it and let us know what you think.
Good luck.
Thick is not necessarily good. I've seen several Amish slab belts turn to mush. What you want is a two layer belt glued and sewn for extra shear strength. Think of it like plywood.

If we can help just let us know.
I've been wearing my G-19/Supertuck combo with the Amish belt for about 10 months now and it is as good as a gun belt for my purposes.
The first Amish belt I got is good and stiff and works well with a K Frame or Officer's Model OWB. I ordered another in a different color and it is much softer.
It's okay for the price. I don't mind hangin' a lightweight like a J Frame or a Kahr CW9 off of it, but nothing much heavier as far as I'm concerned.
I have a couple and they work very well for me snugged up tight. :yup:
I bought an original Amish belt just like that when I was in Lancaster Pa. back in the mid 1980's at one of their farm stand, there was a Lether crafter, Amish Man selling his hand made Belt's & other item's, I think that I paid about $10.00 for it back then, & I still have & use it with my holster's & I will tell you it is as new as the day that I bought it, I use KIWI Nutural shoe wax on it every now & then & it kept the leather like new, what I liked about the Buckle is that it has a Rolled up piece of metal wrapped around it, & it makes the buckle a little more sturdier than usual,Even now for the price of apx $28.00 if they are made like the one that I have they are worth the $$$$$$.
I just checked out the belts at Hank's. Very tempting purchase for that price
