Below is what I wear - OWB holster & mag pouch, usually w/a shirt designed to be untucked. Holster and mag pouch are custom work by Julian/bigo5552000. Pistol is an XD-40SC.
I've never used any other leather rigs, as this is my first. I really like it, tho, as it's very comfortable and I've had zero retention issues, with the holster or mag pouch.
I fail to see .85-.90 first shot times from concealment as never getting it out when you need it.

In my experience, the most stable OWB holsters have been those with the most leather touching the inside of the belt. The typical design includes a wide belt tunnel, and a belt slot at the rear to pull the butt of the pistol into the side. The Galco Avenger springs immediately to mind.
Consider giving that design a try for awhile.
