Fobus paddle for 1911. Kimber Ultra CDP II

I have the Fobus Evolution series paddle for my 5" M&P Pro9. I use it for the range, I really like it as its very comfortable. With the colder weather coming about, I was thinking that it would be nice to have one for my carry gun.
I went to Gander and found the fobus paddle for a "1911" But it did not lock in, and was very loose. Does anyone know of a model that works well for the CDP?

Fobus holsters vary in fit from holster to holster, you can mod them to fit better

Personally I'd just rather buy a holster that's going to fit right to begin with. You dropped some coin on your CDP, don't skimp on the holster.

I highly recommended Safariland paddle holsters. I have the 6378 for 5" 1911 and it's great. Thumb switch retention, felt lining, very sturdy construction, and fairly inexpensive...

They also have non-ALS paddles if you don't want the retention switch.

Someone here once stated that it's illegal to carry a 1911 in a Fobus. I'm not sure - it may vary state to state... :wink:

I'm pretty sure it's a natural law, like gravity or Newton's laws. To defy it would be an infraction of the highest order. :2a:
