There are copies...some OK, some not so good. While the Pure Kustom holsters are stupendous, they are not the same style holster as the VM2.

Another option is to pick up a used VMII off a forum. I got mine form Sigforum for $100 and it was in perfect condition.

I have to say +1 on the Brommeland holster!

My Max Con V is the best IWB I have ever owned and after 20+yrs of CCing,........ I've owned alot!

Super comfy and the gun disappears!!

I've got an IWB #4 from Desibens Gunleather inbound for my 238, I was using a COM III IWB from HBE previously but want something more appendix carry friendly for the 238.

Back to the original question regarding the VMII and what compares to it. The HBE Com III and UBG Canute are good holsters at a lower price point and less wait time than Sparks and offer some of the same features, wide-set snap loops, reinforced opening etc. but IMHO the Sparks is still the holster to have. I really like my UBG and HBE rigs but the VMII is still my favorite IWB. The steel band, overall fit, natural retention, longevity, and overall quality of the VMII set it above the others. I know this sounds silly, but it almost seems that the VMII has a small black whole that just sucks the gun right into it when holstering. I don't know what it is exactly that they do differently from others but what ever it is, I like it.

Currently have three VMIIs, with another that should be done this month, I've had several others. if you can afford the wait time there are few better than Milt Sparks. When time is not on my side I go with HBE and UBG.

Give it a few more months. They usually are pretty good with keeping up with the 'newer' models on the scene.

Dad wants a high rise, non-kydex paddle holster for his P238. Thought it would be a decent Christmas present, but can't find one for under a C note.
