Hi all,
newbie to the forum with a question re: the cbst (*Cross Breed Super Tuck).
Whenever I wear it at 4:00 with my Kahr P9, the leather backing pushes against the mag. release and releases the mag.
This has happened a couple of times, and just wondering if it happens to others.

I have the CB Minituck for my P9. The leather does not occlude the magazine release, so it does not happen to me.
If I was having the problem you mention, I would carefully trim the leather around the release.
Have you tried contacting Crossbreed? They are really good about customer service. They may have some suggestions for you.
I had this happen with a Taurus PT-145. There are a few options such as trimming the holster a bit around the mag release. But, I would contact CB and get their input before doing too much work.
Had that same problem with a few guns (i.e. Kahr PM9, Kahr P9, M&Pc, and Glock 36) and CBST.
I wear around 4-4:30 as well. Unacceptable occurence when carrying.
I sold all CBST for those guns. The only one I've kept is a QwikClip made for P9,
that I cut out the back of leather so as to not contact the mag release.
My advice...get a new holster.
Thanks to all for your replies. I am sure I can solve the problem by simply trimming the leather around the mag. release, or by drilling a small hole in the leather so that it encircles the release button and keeps it from being pressed. I'm sure that the folks at Crossbreed would be willing to help, but I do not want to send it back at my expense in order to fix it. I was curious as to whether anyone else experienced the same problem. I realize that a lot of folks on this forum are really sold on the cbst, guess that I am just not one of them. Drilling leather usually does not work out very well.
Sharpen up the end of a short piece of anything tubing-like that is metal and cylindrical - center it over the exact location - and give it few solid hammer whacks to punch out a nice neat looking hole.
This is what a P9 looks like in a Galco King-Tuk.
I don't have the SuperTuck, but I do carry my PM9 in the MiniTuck. The leather backing doesn't touch the magazine release at all. I would either trim the leather or contact CrossBreed. They will fix it.

Just re-read your post. Why did you get the Supertuck over the MiniTUck for the PM9? That could be part of the problem as an earlier poster said, it is not an issue on the minituck. Anyways, I finished my mod on my minituck for my pm9. Trimmed excess leather and excess kydex on tigger guard to allow a true full combat grip. I did the same on my Supertuck for my 19 leather only. They got the kydex right for the 19. It came with their combat cut, but they leave excess leather at the top, so it looks like a shark fin lol. I cut that one as well so there is just leather between me and the gun. Anyways, heres pics of the minituck and pm9. Good luck!

How do you like the kingtuk? Do you own both (kingtuk & CBST) and if so, how do the two compare? I think the kingtuk looks very nice. Has a much more finished and quality look. THanksQuote:
