For a 1911 shoulder rig - I would absolutely go with the Alessi Bodyguard system. It's my personal opinion (for what it's worth) that the Alessi holster is the best out there for shoulder carry.
Just grab & pull.
You can instantly get your thumb right where it needs to be for an effortless and flawless presentation without it having to perform the added task of unsnapping the holster retention strap. All of my shoulder holsters are Alessi.

I have a Miami Classic II for my 5" 1911. I like mine. Not quite as much money as the others. I have one for my G29 as well.
No complaints
I've used a Miami Classic for years with a Gov. model 1911 and it's one of my favorite shoulder holsters.

I used to carry my glock 23 in the Galco lite system , is ok
Having tried innumerable shoulder rigs over the years, IMHO, a conventional horizontal rig is just not practical. Why?? Once you have drawn, if you need to reholster and go hands on with a less than lethal threat, it takes 2 hands to put your 1911 away. There are some vertical rigs you can use one hand to reholster with but to me the BEST SYSTEM YET is the BH Serpa with shoulder rig attachment. It is very secure against gun grabs and can be easily reholstered w/ one hand. It is not pretty or sexy but it is VERY practical. Now if only they would put the J frame Serpa on an ankle rig hmmmm.
More of an issue for you LEO fellas. We civvies probably can get by with a horizontal rig. I need to conceal some times. How well does the Serpa do that?
I have a classic lite. I don't know that it would work too well with a full sized 1911. I use it for a PT111 and end up putting the mag for my 24/7 (17 rd) on the opposite side to offset the weight.
I think for that heavy of a gun your going to want a shoulder rig that is a bit more substantial than the classic lite.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

If you don't mind breaking your piggy bank then look at Andrews Custom Leather's Monarch Shoulder Rig.
They were at a gun show that I went to a while back; their stuff is pricey, but well made.
I was wondering about the Serpa straps. I had a rig once with nylon straps. wearing the gun was like having it hang from rubber band.
