Great job, my fellow holster makers have already provided some good advise. My first holster sure didn't look that good. I gave it to the dog to chew on.

Good stuff, would not want to see what my attempt would look like (I have never been very handy) not sure why my dad and grand dad both can work with wood leather etc... not me

If you contact cement (not rubber cement) the pieces together, you won't need to double stitch IMHO. Keep trying and let us know if you have questions.
