Why do some mag pouches say they are for "polymer" double stack magazines? Why wouldn't they work for double stack metal magazines?

Can't really say why for sure, but I've got two different double-stack holders, and they do hold different double-stacks differently. One fits my M&P and USPc mags, while the other fits P228 mags. Can't recall which holds P11 mags at the moment, but there definitely IS a difference in sizes to be sure of.Originally Posted by WoodLark
The poly mags are thicker. The material is heavier gauge so unless there is a good bit of "adjustability" in retention, the poly mags would be way too tight in a carrier designed for the metal ones.

I have a single 45 cal from Alabama Holster that I am very pleased with.

If you like a custom fit, go to just about any custom holster shop. If you want "dirt cheap", try "Cheaper Than Dirt.com".
