This is a discussion on Comp-Tac's new magazine holder / reviews? within the Defensive Carry Holsters & Carry Options forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; It looks really neat:

I have one and yes you can adjust for height by moving the clip.
I found that because the pouch is leather,it holds the mag much tighter than I like.
Being IWB,the leather collapses around the mag.
It is however,very concealable.
I could see how it would collapse when the mag is removed but, that would really not be an issue when carrying an extra mag for S.D. since it's unlikely that you'll be doing a magazine reinsertion after you grab for the spare magazine to save your bacon. Looks like it will be comfortable for IWB carry.

You are correct but my problem with it has been that the mag retention is WAY too tight making it harder to get the mag out in a hurry.
It looks like one of the best IWB designs I've seen but I've never understood why you would want an IWB magazine pouch. Whatever you use to conceal a gun in an IWB holster will also conceal an OWB magazine pouch. Why stuff more than you have to IWB? The IWB holster is enough for me.
"A superior Operator is best defined as someone who uses his superior
judgement to keep himself out of situations that would require a display of his
superior skills."
Tucker Gunleather makes a similar pouch that is half the width of the Comp-Tac. He mounts the hook in front of the pouch. That may make more of a lump but I like it.
no worries Ms Cammo. I love Tucker's stuff. I have an IWB holster called the Answer from him, it's leather lined Kydex.I have 2 IWB mag holders, One for my Glocks and one for my 1911. Tucker is basically a one man shop and the care and craftsmanship is very obvious, to me anyway.
Not taking anything away from the Comp Tac offerings either.

If you are CC'ing by tucking your shirt, why would you want to give the concealment away by walking around with a magazine of cartridges on your belt for all to see?

Have you tried the business card trick or plastic bag, etc, to stretch it out? Is it still too tight after some attempts to loosen it up?
The leather is very soft and pliable (almost like a glove) and therefore collapses on the mag due to the pressure between the waistband and body. This makes pulling the mag out difficult. The leather pouch itself is loose enough and doesn't need any stretching.
If they made this sort of like a "mini" Minataur, with a kydex half pouch and small leather backing, it would be great.
Other posters are correct;an OWB pouch is really not that hard to conceal.

How will you conceal an OWB mag pouch if you are "tucking" your shirt? I agree it.s no problem if you can drop a a shirt or coat over it, I wear polo shirts a lot and tuck these in.
