Another new hybrid holster maker ... with a twist

This guy offers his holsters as kits for those of you with odd pieces nobody has molds for.

There's lots of guys out there making these type of holster, but I could see his kits really taking off.

Also the Old Faithful is cheaper than the venerable CBST.

Haven't dealt with the guy myself but if anyone orders from him a review would be nice.

LOL ... probably nobody (well as soon as I say that someone will come along and claim that's all their grandma's arthritic hands can handle).

However if you have something odd like a Mauser M2, Steyr GB, Vektor SP1 or even a Webley revolver and want to CCW it leather has been hard to find, so his kits are where I bet he cleans up.

It's soo true though and gets played here a lot by the not appropriate for combat use 'caliber war' kinds.
    But still...Laugh out loud funny. : p

Yeah, I've got a CZ 40B that I would like to carry once in a while that specific IWB holsters don't exist for.
I like the idea of this and for 20.00 I think it's definitely going on the short list of future projects.

Another thing this would be nice for is anything with an after market light rail. One that comes to mind is the TICK bolt-on 1911 rail.

I can't think of a single holster-maker that makes this style for that attachment.

    Hey! Good point!
That got me thinking....this would also be good for those who choose to have weapon lights attached to the pistol for carrying.

I thought of that as well, but one would have to make sure that the channel for the light extends all the way to the mouth of the holster.
It would take more than just molding the kydex around the gun with light attached.

    Thumbs up

I bought one off ebay (for my px4 subcompact) from a guy from Fort Smith Ar. It's very comfortable, I really like it but I don't see him on ebay now. It's well worth the money.

Great holsters. I wore one a friend of mine had for a glock 17 for a day. Very comfortable, very secure

These look great. Good prices. I thought about trying my hand at this, (making kits) but I just don't have enough hands to do everything I want.

I bought one, I built one, I wear one ...

Molded mine to fit a Star UltraStar 9MM

His website provides a great "how to" video to guide you through all the steps for custom forming the kydex and assembly of the holster.

I guess it's time I get around to trimming the leather at the bottom ... tidy it up a bit.

Don't forget any provisions for making a sight channel so your front sight doesn't snag on the draw.

gigamortis, that point is VERY well covered in the video available on the Old Faithful website.

I didn't say it in my first post but, the holster rides very comfortably. is quite soft and gradually molding itself to my bodyshape.
