I recently gave appendix carry-actually on the left side in a cross draw position, and I definitely prefer it. My previous carry gun was a Beretta 92FS, a big gun and left side appendix carry worked great. I recently bought 3 new guns, an S&W 6906, S&W 4046, and Friday a Springfield Armory 1911 Mil-Spec. I prefer to make my own holsters, and IWB I like the rough out style with snap loops. Both of the S&W's work for me in this style holster. When driving the appendix cross draw is perfect for me. I do not have a pic of me wearing the holster, but here's one of the holster and the 6906. In the next few days I'll have one finished for the 1911 and see how it works out. One of the benefits, for me of course, to this carry method is that a little angle allows the longer barreled guns to conceal easier. Again, my opinion only. Thanks to all for this interesting thread.
