    Ruger Police Service Six pics

I'm working with Haystacker to design a holster for my Ruger Police Service Six 4" bbl. He has a 4" GP100 and not sure if that would work to use for a mold. I've send some measurements and an posting a pic for him to compare general shape.

The old Ruger wheelguns are so classic looking.

Here's the GP100. Looks like the barrel shroud is the only difference. And the rear sight.

i have a 4 inch security six, same basic gun except mine has fixed sights. Accurate as any rifle to 100 feet and built like a tank, nothing beats an old Ruger

I'm looking at both and the only difference is the barrel shroud and sights as you have stated Jeff. Cylinder, frame and trigger guard are the same.

QK is right, but without adjustable sights the Service six will still pop in and lock tight in a Gp 100 holster.

CORRECTION!! I'm comparing my GP with fixed sights, should have looked at Jeffs with adjustable. Sorry. Need to look a lttle closer.

I love this gun. I've had this gun for almost 15 years. I bought it for $125 and it is still in 99.99% condition. The gun had only 3 rounds through it when I bought it and I didn't shot it until 2009. I've put 50 rounds through it. I'd love to carry it with the right set-up...which we're working on. I can see a double wheel gun carry combo with this and my SP101 in my future!!!

Mine has fixed sights and the top strap is indeed thinner. He's got a prototype holster he made for hsi GP he is going to send me to see how it fits. With some minor differences, it may work out just fine.

Well I got real lucky. A good customer, who is turning out to be a good friend, loaned me his pistol.
This is the rough draft of the holster. What do you think?

Awesome. I have an idea. Sometimes I carry at the 4:00 position. Can you put another slot on the trigger guard side of the holster a little lower and closer in that would give me the option of having a forward cant for the 4:00 position? Let me know what you think. Thanks.

I have a Security Six with a 2 3/4" barrel. Same gun except for adjustable sights and of course barrel length. Using the basic pattern could you make a rig for it, and if so cost?

Archer - Here is an unfinished holster for a speed six, 2 & 3/4 inch. Shoot me an email and we can discuss details.
    Thanks
