    New Holster For My Son

My son called saying he was having trouble finding a shoulder holster for his 7 shot .357 revolver. He just started carrying recently and is now going through holsters trying to find "the one".

I recently came across a Bucheimer holster that was in sorry shape but priced right. It is also the right size to fit his revolver. The leather was filthy, the hardware corroded and it was missing half the harness. Here's what it looked like.

I cleaned it up and put a lot of leather conditioner on it. I replaced the snaps, cleaned the tension screw, replicated the harness then threw the original away, and put a nice coat of wax on it. I'm going to send it to my son. Maybe an old school shoulder holster will work for him.

Be not far from me, for trouble is near; For there is none to help. psalm22:11

Great job that might do the trick for him. You've inspired me I have an old shoulder rig that looks just like that (original picture all beat up) maybe I should give it a make over.
