The High ride holster is one place I think Kydex really shines. It is much more rigid and does not "flop" as easily as leather. I keep coming back to the Fist design FIST, INC. , the secret in this design is the long horizontal footprint. Because it is stiff and molded to the arc of your hip, it does not flop out from the weight of the gun. You can get them at any cant depending on where you intend to wear it.
The Don Hume 721OT is a good holster for the money. The high ride that MNBurl posted looks very promising too.
I have High Noon Slide Guards for every pistol I carry! They're Top Quality, comfortable and hold weapon high & tight to the body. I have both horsehide and cowhide.....you can't go wrong with these if you're looking for a good high ride holster! And theyre great people to deal with......you can also pay a rush fee and get your product in a week to 10 days if you don't want to wait months!

NYPAD by Desantis. It's a paddle, but it rides high the way I like for OWB. Plus the paddle gives it more support, so the top of the weapon doesn't droop outward from the weight.
I also tweeked this paddle by removing the holster, putting the paddle in a vise and little by little hitting it with the heat gun, then "adjusting" it to keep it really tight to my body.
I have one for my P229 and here's my P11;
If you like leather go with their Top Cop model.
You never see a motorcycle parked ouside a psychiatrist's office!
OP check my review of the UBG Bonneville. It is a very nice high ride pancake style holster. I love mine (and the price is nice too). You will do yourself a disservice if you don't give UBG a look.

ETA: With just about any high ride holster a good gun belt is a must. : )

Thanks, I'll take a look at the UBG.
Best way to win a gun fight? "That's easy, don't show up."
"Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything."
