    Opinions on how to carry a S & W Sigma 40VE

This will be the first handgun I will have ever carried. I'm curious as to how some of you would/do carry this gun. And I'm a newbie so if you use any terminology (appendix carry) for example, please explain what that means or post a pic. I will most likely OC this from time to time (weather and clothing options) but I will CC this probly 90%+ of the time. So what I'm asking for is how to CC this. Thanks.

    Cool

It is comfortable sitting but you can feel the muzzle end of the holster againsts your thigh. Standing comfort is a given. It is easier to stoop down then to bend over for comfort. You are going to have to trial and error for yourself as we all had to do to find out what is best for your needs.

II Timothy 1:7 "God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind". I had that verse on my body armor for years while a working LEO.

Here's how I carry my Sigma:

The printing is minimal at best. Obviously if you bend over or something, the grip is going to print a little.

What kind of grip is that? I've been looking for one with finger grooves that would fit mine.

My Glocks, and SP101 ride in one of these... FIST, INC.
Simple, easy on/off, stays in place, and sitting is no problem.

    Hogue handall universal grips.

I had to do a little trimming at the bottom but it was pretty easy to put on. Makes the gun feel bigger. Didn't really notice any reduction in recoil however I really didn't buy the grips for that to begin with.

Here is a better picture of the whole gun with the grips on it

Thanks! Another thing for the OP to consider, as well. I had to have one on mine to cover that checkering. It tore my hand up after a few magazines.
