    The goat ate it....

I had a crossbreed supertuck but took it off to hop in the pond and replace a pump and filter. Seems my neighbors goat liked it enough to eat all the hide off of it and some of my seat (old beater truck not concerned with it getting damaged). Neighbor offered to replace the holster. He ordered one but not the crossbreed, honest mistake I believe we had been at the local gun store earlier in the week and were talking to another local about them.
So does anyone have any good/bad about the Minotaur MTAC Holster? I liked my Crossbreed but this looks like a fair replacement. I just have no experience with one.

Get a Fist holster and ask for the 'goat proofing'...

I use the Crossbreed, Minotaur MTAC Spartan, and CTAC, all with Velcro clips, depending on which pair of pants I put on. You'll really like the MTAC after you break it in. So will the goat.

The goat nor the pond were mine. I was at his house helping him with his pond pump and changed the filter out while we were there. I almost spit my coffee out reading the "goat proofing" bit! The part that kills me is I had a couple milk crates full of fresh picked veggies from my garden to take over there. The goat ignored them and went for holster and seat.
Glad to hear that it is a liked holster, so far.

I think you might be the only guy in the world who can say that a goat ate your holster. Congrats on that and on the new MTAC.

Call Crossbreed & make arrangments to send your holster back to have some new leather installed.
Shame to waste a great holster.

Even goats love the Crossbreed! I have no knowledge of the MTAC, but it sounds like it is a good holster. How did your buddy screw up the order, I woulda been very specific, even write it down, when requesting replacement holster.

+1 Agreed. Call Crossbreed & explain what happened. They may get enough of a chuckle out of it, & such a unique situation that they'd cover it under warranty just for grins. What other holster mfgr. could claim:

"Our holsters are so good, even goats love 'em" or ...

"Our warranty is so good, even goat attacks are covered"

Eventhough your neighbor is replacing it, if Crossbreed comes through as well, you'll have a backup. I could use 2 so I wouldn't have to switch my 1 CBST between pants so much when changing clothes. Give us a results update if you choose to pursue this ... we would be interested in finding out.

Maybe I will contact Crossbreed. I couldn't hurt to see if they would let me purchase only the horsehide replacement. Thanks guys, I had written it off as gone.

I am certain Crossbreed will work with you somehow regarding fixing what you have. It never hurts to have extra holsters anyway.

Give them a call and let us know what they say.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.
