small? It's huge -I just started carrying it AND the huge neon sign that says "look here, she has a gun!"
I have read that hugging technique (on forum search) - tried to get my hubby to practice with me last nite, but he looked at me like I was nuts - "practice hugging?!?!"
Some tv zombie show (or something equally as stupid) won out over hugging practice with me. (sigh)
(I know I'll catch some flack over the stupid zombie comment)
Try the hugging thing with less clothing and see how that works!![]()

Wow.... Hubby told wife with gun no?
There are several sources specifically for women carrying concealed. One big one I can think of is cornered cat. I'm sure women have tried the smart carry before and can say how it went. I might Google it just to see if I can find something.
As for the cw9 being a big gun... limatunes can conceal her government sized 1911. If she can conceal that you can conceal the cw9 no problem ;)
Edit here is the feedback page for women with smart carry

There is something about firing 4,200 thirty millimeter rounds/min that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
I had the very best answer for ya but you went and dissed the zombies.
But really, you've got some good avenues to follow up on here already so try a few and remember that 90% of the people miss a gun when worn openly and even more have no clue if they brush up against one while hugging so the biggest thing you can do to conceal it is to relax. If you act like something is wrong people pick up on it so enjoy and hug away.

"Seriously though, I'd just carry IWB and not sweat it. It's such a small gun that if somebody does feel it, just say it's a cell phone. I wouldn't question someone if that happened. "
˄˄ Except I am very well known to not own a cell phone and everyone knows that. I know, I know -- I want to see if I'm the very last person in the country to get one. (one more way they can track you! JK. Well, at least the kids could track me then. Plus some of our gas stations still have pay phones, if I need it.)
ummm... you're not suggesting I do this to my Bible, are you?
I appreciate all the feedback. (well, most of it, anyway)![]()

Appendix carry with my SR9c works with my huggy family.
As an international Bishop / Overseer, I choose to off body or no carry at church. We do have designated armed security of off duty LEOs, and I do carry all week long. I was made the first time I CC at church. Many of our pastors CC. I do not want to be distracted from loving my people by being the responsible person I need to be when I carry. I am most interested in good ideas, so please fill me in. Ankle carry is out, as I am both Pentecostal and demonstrative at church.
No need to change to a different holster...CHANGE THE WAY YOU LET SOMEONE HUG YOU.... When a 'hugger' approaches, keep your arms low & force the 'hugger' to put their arms above yours. This allows you to keep you firearm covered by your arms & makes the 'hugger's' arm stay away from the gun/holster. It might make a slightly unusual hug, but it keeps them from feeling the firearm.
This will work every time!

Go into the hug like a plane banking hard on a turn to your strong side. make some plane noises too and they back off a bit. :)
Seriously, most won't know. I hug people everyday. I make the first move and go low. Had a woman put her hand on my S&W 457 (big steel
gun) two days ago. She palmed it. Never questioned me. Sheep.
