    my first custom made holster-GP100

Y'all know I got me a Ruger GP 100 for my birthday back in June(happy birthday to me.....)
well.....I decided to get me a good piece of leather for it since I didn't have a holster at all and thought it would be cool to get something made for it the way I want it. I'd never ordered custom leather.
Enter Hays Holsters, sponsor here on the forum. I looked at his site and like the black to tan fade job he had a a 629 Texas crossdraw holster. I asked if he could make it for 'regular' strong side carry with a thumb break. I also wanted a dual speed loader pouch but different than the one he showed on his site.
He gladly accommodated me on both accounts and I emailed my order on August 3rd, sent check on the 4th, got the gear on the 18th.
I loved the smell of that leather when I cut the box open. Then I was very happy getting that rig in my hands. Beautiful work. I love it. Tried it on and it was amazing how light this pretty hefty wheel gun felt on the waist.
some pics taken with my cell phone, don't do it justice
I will definitely be buying from Hays again.

If loose gun laws are good for criminals why do criminals support gun control?

Awesome looking rig! That GP is a chunk, but that holster/belt combo looks like it'll handle the weight easily. Nice touch for the speed loaders too.

    Congrats all around.

    64Z,

I think you will be quite happy with your new Hays rig, I have one similar, but without the thumb break and different loader pouches and have been quite pleased with it.

Don't know if it would interest you but you can get SL Comp II or Comp III loaders for your GP100. I carry Comp III's.

yeah I've seen those, they look cool, but I already got some HKS speedloaders, same as the ones I got for my 642 last year, but thanks, I'll always take gear suggestions/ideas from folks
