I carry the Kimber and one extra magazine. I carry the extra mag in a leather eyeglass case. Handy and discrete.

I'm usually carrying Sig p239 or Kimber Pro Carry......being single stacks, I carry an extra mag in back pocket......giving me 15 total for p239 & 17 for Kimber. I don't carry extra mags for my double stack Glocks. I also have extra mags for all in my truck and have one for whatever I'm carrying handy in the console.....a 10 rounder for the Kimber!

Depends on what I'm carrying. If I have my CW45, it's 13 rounds. If I'm carrying my DW 1911 it's 17 rounds and if I'm carrying my CZ P-01, it's 29 rounds. Each one gun carried at full capacity with a spare mag on my belt.

I voted less than 5 because I very seldom carry a reload on me while off duty. What ever is in the particular gun I have is all I need.

Primary EDC is 3" 1911, so 7+1, and a spare mag with 8.

Other EDC is an M&P9, 17+1, and a spare mag of 17.

    Pocket Concealment is a J-frame 357. 5, plus 5 on a speed strip

As I understood it, the least option was 5 or less. I do not carry a reload, only the rounds in whatever I am carrying. I understood it wrong maybe.

I think the original question was how many rounds do you carry in your gun, and how many, if at all, do you carry in a spare mag.

For me 7+1 and a 6 round mag in the front weak pocket.

    Talking Mass Brass!!

I carry an HK USP Compact locked and loaded with two backup magazines in a Blackhawk! belt mounted holster. Most of the time it is kept in the glovebox, or center console, but have recently purchased a 5.11 tactical Rush 12 backpack. I have a velcro "adjust to fit" holster that velcros to any loop-side attachment. I'm going to have a loop-side panel sewn into the outside main frt pocket to utilize the velcro holster. Inside the same compartment there are two larger sized pockets that could ALMOST fit AR magazines, but not quite. The HK .45 magazines fit nicely, and unless I'm doing hand stands (with the pack on) they shouldn't go anywhere. That's my 20 cents.
