Cool Need help finding an IWB Holster for Taurus Model 85 Poly Protector...

I recently picked up a Taurus Model 85 Polymer Protector as a back up gun and am having a heck of a time finding an IWB holster for it.

Can anyone point me to a site that offers anything. (Google just leads me to standard Model 85 holsters.)

Not looking for anything super expensive since I won't be carrying it too often.

Check out Remora holsters. Give them a call and they can tell you what model will fit. They work great and are well worth the $25 dollar price.

Might want to try High Noon or Fist and see if they can be of assistance.

Are you sure a standard model 85 holster won't work?

I got a pocket holster for the Model 85 and the poly is too wide.

The guy making the holster for my PPS also confirmed that the Poly 85 is different than the standard 85.

I have a Galco IWB that works pretty well with my Poly Protector. It is a left hand model, and it is marked H109 L and STO159. Soft leather, reinforced mouth, single belt clip. I like my "Polly" well enough that I am having one of the local guys make me a custom rig for it. Good Luck!

I just went back and checked the Galco webpage -- the holster is a Stow-N-Go (STO159) for a J-frame, Colt Detective Special, etc.

a Galco stow N go RH model158 for our taurus regular 85 same as above, and it seems as though the reinforced top edge,as well as the holster itself would be forgiving enough to acommodate your pistol.
Paid $29.95 at the LGS in SCShores Mi.

I use a Kramer IWB for my Model 85 and Model 605. I've had this holster for many years. Durable. Holds the weapon firmly without straps. You can do hand stands and the weapon stays put. Easy to draw. Very difficult to remove weapon by pulling from behind.

Sorry I don't remember the model number. Both my 85n and 605 are steel.

IWB Holster for Taurus Model 85 Polymer

    http://talonholsters.com/

I just purchased a holster for this weapon from Talon Holsters. They are a training group in Florida who have their own holster line. I also own 2 of their IWB's for a Ruger LCR. The holster for the polymer 85 has a steel belt clip and the IWB's for the LCR have 2 belt loops. Their prices are very reasonable and I have no problem with their quality. They are "open top" but are secure. There is a significant difference between the frames of the Polymer and Non-Polymer Taurus 85's, hence the limited availability of holsters thus far. That should change in the not-too-distant future. BTW, I happened on your post by coincidence and registered hers specifically to pass this on. Tried to attach a pic of the 85 in this holster but it may not have worked. Have a great day!

Alien Gear has one. It is made for the .38 spl version, but it worked fine for my .357 model. You can get any holster AG makes with that shell.
