Smartcarry....not gonna work on a woman. :))
When I work outside in short (really can't use an ankle holster for obvious reasons) I pocket carry a Ruger LCR 38+p in a Mika holster. At around 13-14oz loaded it carries well with my drawstring drawn firmly. It also provides a very easy and quick draw since you can have your hand on the grip in your pocket and not appear to be armed. The problem I have with the various iwb holsters mentioned (Remora and others that are worn under your clothes) is that if I'm outside either working or exercising, I perspire a LOT. I don't want my gun and holster to be wet..... I'm not sure how easy it is to clean one of those iwb holsters (unless it's made of kydex), but seems like repeatedly sweating on the holster would not be a good thing. If you carry in your pocket, the holster (and gun) never gets wet.....another positive. I think pocket carry is best for the situation you describe. My normal edc is either a Sig P220 or a Glock 30sf....neither of which I feel works well while working outside or exercising.....
The wife has a remora for her 642 carry and loves it. I carry my XDM compact 9mm using a crossbreed or Liberty belt carry.
