Is this model more comfortable than the SSII ? I am presently carrying a full size 1911 in the Summer Special II and have been wanting to try the VMII out.

Typically I do find the VMII to be more comfy, the wide-set mounting points helps distribute the weight a little better.

    Ordered:10/11/11
    Shipped: 3/20/12
    Received: 3/23/12

FWIW, I didn't own the gun yet (purchased in Jan) when I ordered the holster...so it wasn't too long of a wait.

I think the placement of the mounting hardware will make it have a thinner profile and keep the butt of the gun more snug against the body. That's been my experience. And as such, It does feel more comfortable. It also distributes the weight of the pistol over a larger area. Again, another comfort factor.

    Great looking rig JD.
