I've got a 6" GP100 I'd like to make a similar holster for. What weight leather did you use?
I've made a couple knife sheaths, I'll try a holster when I get more confidence.

5 oz top 9oz bottom. I complete all the sewing then I wet it with the dye then form it by hand around the gun in plastic bag, let it dry then treat it with Leather treatment paste then I polish it . Then I seal it.
I hand sew but am thinking about getting a Tippmann.
I have been wearing this all day and it is very comfortable. Under my denim jacket it is concealed very well.
THAT is nice work.

Good job. I've got my second leather holster in the garage. It's giving me fits trying to get the black dye to stay. I'm looking at plan B, rustic looking buffed out holster. I think I did something with boning that has the leather messed up. Won't do that again.

Thanks guys I have not had any dye issues but I am sure that lesson will be here soon. I really enjoy doing this and have been making both leather and Kydex leather combo's. Very relaxing.
