    'Basketball Shorts' IWB Holsters

Im considering one of three IWB holsters for 'Basketball Shorts' type clothing for the summer. I'm debating between either the Thunderwear, the SmartCarry or the 3 Speed Holster. I've noticed they've gone through some tweaking over the years so I'm curious to hear people's thoughts on more recent purchases. I like that Thunderwear seems to be a bit lighter version of the SmartCarry, though I also like that 3 Speed makes them specifically cut for each particular gun. I'm looking for a minimalistic holster for my M&P9c when wearing basketball shorts.

If my pants are on the loose side then I'll use my 3-Speed.

If my pants are a little snug then I use my Remora. If I can snug up my shorts with a draw string then I will always choose my Remora over any other CC holster.

All my shorts and gym pants have some kind of draw string. Tighten it up a bit and use Remora.

I voted other. Pistolwear.com PT-ONE or TWO. I wear the PT-One running, mountain biking, lifting weights or anytime I'm exercising.

I wear soccer shorts while running with my wife. They're smaller and lighter than basketball shorts. I carry my M&P .40c in a Supertuck while running. Granted, I wear a pair of compression shorts under the soccer shorts to minimize the holster bouncing, but the brunt of the weight is held by nothing but the drawstring of the pants. It can be done! Just throwing that out there so you don't limit your options too much.

I use a Crossbreed Supertuck. Out of your choices I'd go with the Remora most likely though.

I've worn a Galco version of the Crossbreed (King-Tuk) with fairly baggy shorts. It's worked pretty well for me, but I can't really speak to basketball shorts specifically, and haven't tried any other holsters that worked well with shorts, so I can't say it's the best. But it works for me.

I use a Theis holster with a 5.11 trainer belt under my basketball shorts.

+1 on the Remora holster. It has become my number1 holster choice.

I'll admit, I was skeptical when I saw the Remora.

    "No clip? pass!"

I have one for both of my handguns now.
