I guess I'm on the other side of these opinions...let me offer my take on both of these belts.
The Liger belts are interesting but have gotten questionable reviews online from those who have tried them.
One recommendation is a Wilderness 5 Stitch belt...they are inexpensive and work very well....
I own two Liger belts; I bought one and liked it so much I bought a second one in another color. For stiffness when holding the load of a holster, it's unbeatable. So far, durability is the same story, no wear of any sort--the belts look like they did when they arrived a year ago. I highly recommend it as a gun belt. And, being in the $60 range, I consider them to be a good value.
The biggest reason I like the Liger is because it doesn't look like a work or gun belt. The finish looks good and the solid T-6 aluminum buckle is attractive. It wears well with jeans or business casual, such as Dockers or other similar slacks. To call it a dress belt would be pushing it too far, since it's not that, especially being 1 1/2".
On the other hand, I find that the Wilderness belt looks like a work belt or gun belt. From my perspective both the belt and buckle certainly wouldn't make it with Dockers, but likely would fit in when wearing jeans. Regarding it's performance, I've heard nothing but good comments about it, but frankly, you'd expect that from a belt that looks like a gun belt, which is exactly why I didn't consider it.
So, here's a vote from the "Liger side of the aisle"...

I have one of the dress 1 1/4" belts from BLackhawk and have been very happy with it.

I just bought this.
This one looks very similar (and I suspect is the actual manufactureer of the Gunner's Alley belt).

I've had a ton of differant belts over the years. After receiving my dual bullhide belt from Jim, I won't ever own anything else. www.thebeltman.net
