I need a good belt
Reviewing some different options for a good CCW belt. I have looked at belts from Galco and Don Hume as well as a few others. I am curious about Liger Belts though. I really like the look of what I see on the website, but I am not sure if they live up to the statements made there. Does anyone out there wear one and if so what are your thoughts. Also are there other manufacturers/makers that I should consider?

Well...a good belt is part of a complete system....so good on you.
Hume and others make some pretty decent stuff for the money...
The Liger belts are interesting but have gotten questionable reviews online from those who have tried them.
One recommendation is a Wilderness 5 Stitch belt...they are inexpensive and work very well....
All makers who do leather work make belts....so just look around at what you like and go from there.
Shoot well and god bless

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

I have a wilderness 5 stitch instructors belt. I believe they are made by Wilderness Tactical in Pheonix, AZ. I ordered mine from www.GunnersAlley.com and it came in- in about 3 days. Very sturdy belt, Just read the instructions on the fastener, its crucial to get it right. (Its not difficult, just could be done backwards)
(ADDED- the link posted above by MattLarson is a direct link to Wilderness Tactical.)

Is a Liger stiff enough? My problem with belts has always been that they just break down too darn fast. Never had one last more than about a year, tops -- and I'm talking good name brands here, not just knock-offs.
What I really really want: a super-stiff contour-cut belt. Does Liger do contour cuts?

You can't go wrong with any of those mentioned... I happen to like Galco's belts myself.

I have a cowhide belt from http://www.raftersgunleather.com/ that is finished on both sides. I have owned it for a year and still looks like new. It can be seen on this forum at http://www.combatcarry.com/vbulletin...ad.php?t=13235

I have a nice Gould and Goodrich belt. Fancy buckle looks more dressy than tactical. Very stiff and rigid , even after a few years use.
