I've been carrying a spare G22 mag with a +2 extension in a Fricke horizontal carrier since July. It is quick to recharge my G23 from and carries discrete and comfortably.
Another Fricke horizontal fan here. I've been using them for my extra mags for a while now and I am really happy with them.
Thanks for the review and pictures - looks good.

How are you all carrying your mags horizontally...bullets up or down??

I personally carry rounds up, as it takes less hand movement to index the mag for insertion than it does with rounds pointing down. Try it out for yourself, hold a magazine horizontally at your belt buckle and see which feels better.
I guess I'm a little leery of horizontal carry. I can just imagine reaching for another mag and it has dropped on the street somewhere.

I just ordered on for my M&P. It will be used for my full size and compact M&P 9mm. I ordered mine bullets up as I always "index" (use my index finger to verify rounds and guide to the mag well) the magazine.
Looking forward to trying it out, looks like a good product, time will tell.
I carry mine bullets down - just to the left of my belt buckle.

I carry my XD9 mag in a Joab (albeit bullets down) and it is by far the most comfortable, intuitive and speedy reload I have ever used. Seeing as I am a...heftier ;) guy I like the comfort of the holder running horizontal versus poking me in the ribs when I sit. Also, when I have the gun in my work space while reloading it is very fast to pull that spare and slap it into the grip.
All in all, I cannot say enough good about the Joab, and I highly recommend everyone try one.
