    Holsters in different colors

It's my understanding that Kydex comes in thirty-something standard colors. IN my business attire, I wear either black or brown belts. Why aren't there any kydex holsters made in colors that would more closely match brown, or tan belts. Or are there?

    Just a thought....

    I've Only Seen Kydex...

in black...but leather is something else. Check our Fist, Inc., to get an idea of the 8 or so colors that one can choose.

Well...as an industrial salesman before donning the holster makers cap, I can probably shed partial light on this subject.

Yes, its available in many colors. Cost may be prohibitive though. In black, cost is very low...everyone uses black and therefore its cheap.
Colors are available but because of their lack of popularity cost more to make and sell to the end user. Bladetech or one of the other large companies may be able to afford the more expensive material but wont do so unless they prove there is a market for it.
Without a proven market they would be foolish to try and take over the colored plastic holster market and on that note, you will have what has proven to be popular...thus profitable.

The smaller guys could do it without alot of up front money, but would IMO, charge more the the holsters to make up the cost difference.
Or I could just be wrong................

    Shoot well and god bless

Not sure about holsters but Tony K. at Milt Sparks use to offer several different colors of kydex clips to go with the VM-II. I haven't checked his site info lately so I'm not sure if they're still available. Lou Alessi might be another possible source if you want the leather/kydex clip combo.

If I was to get into IDPA, or if I lived in an open carry state, I could see myself sporting some real "fire" power... (heh heh heh)

In the real world, though, I could easily imagine molded-in camouflage belt lines, or unit insignia. Something more personalized than just bare flat black...
