    BladeTech duty holsters

Do any of you LEOs use Blade Tech for your duty holster? I am applying to the Austin PD and we have to supply our own holsters. They seem like good holsters and I like the quad mag pouch for my Sig 220 single stack mags and the other pouches they offer.

    Not a LEO

But I really like my Blade-Tech OWB. It is easily my favorite holster. Since I can't/won't open carry, it only gets used in the cooler months.

I'm a bit nervous about Kydex for a true duty holster. I'd go with a Safariland 070 or their newer design with the self locking hood.

For duty if you are in Austin just run over to G&T Distributors and get a Safariland.
There is nothing better for a duty holster.

I will check that out when I go to do my application stuff. I'm in College Station right now. I like the Safariland ALS 6360 and they seem to be better for LEOs than the BladeTech. Much more protection from a gun grab.

But I do like the BladeTech mag, asp baton, light, and cuff pouches.

.... also make sure that you check with your agency to make sure that kydex gear is okay. They may have regs on what can be carried.
