I would really suggest that you look at my holsters, you can find one for you glock here Glock 19/23/32 ACE-1 Holster .

All holsters ship in 3-5 business days so you can be using it fast. I carry my Glock 32 (same size as your 19) and my Glock 17 with the same holster.

Each holster has a lifetime warranty, 30 day money back guarantee, and free replacement belt clips for life.

When I carried a 19 I used Andrews Leather MacDaniel II. Great holster and has held up well over the years. That said I am really digging a Silent Thunder Slim I just got for another gun.

Tommy Theis make a great IWB holster as well. Just got one for my M&P Shield 40 and like it a lot. I also have a Crossbreed Supertuck for my G19. Both make really nice holsters. Make sure you get a good belt specifically made for gun carry. Also, a tucked in t-shirt will go a long way towards making IWB carry more comfortable if it is not too hot where you live.

By the way, don't go to the exotics page it you ever wanted an exotic hide holster (and don't want to empty your wallet).

If you require it to be in-hand prior to an upcoming class, then turnaround time will be an important consideration. If you're opting to have one built by a holster maker, it could take a bit of time to arrive. That said ...

I'm fairly partial to the Fist Holsters line. They make holsters with decent designs, great quality and a decent price point. A great value, IMO. OWB, IWB, pocket. Variety of alterations possible, for modest up-charge. I've got several of them, for various guns.

If quick arrival's important, then a basic OWB holster should do you just fine, one that's off-the-shelf at any of the shops that stock a variety of holsters. When in a bind, previously, requiring in-stock availability, I've had good luck ordering from GunnersAlley.com, Code3Tactical.com and TopGunSupply.com . Though, ordering online means you won't be trying it on first.

I just got my first glock G19 gen4, I also just received a N8^2 tactical pro holster. I haven't had long to judge, but it is an amazing holster. Incredibly comfortable, adjusting to get the pistol angle how you want it is nice. It's going to take a trip to the range to get the draw just right tho. But I like the idea that it will protect from someone unholstering your weapon from behind etc..

I spent some time on YouTube, there are thousands of reviews for all types. The N8^2 holster seemed to be what I was looking for.

I use a 722 OWB from Holsterpro Holsterpro Gun Leather - Custom Hand Crafted in the U.S.A.

Great holster, price, and the owner, Paul, is fantastic to work with.

For your upcoming class you may want to consider the Glock Sport Combat holster for around $13-$14. Then you can take your time finding the "perfect" everyday holster. Don't let the low price of the Glock holster fool you. It's a very capable holster.

At this stage of the game, the only holster I would recommnd to you would be the inexpensive ambidextrous Glock sport/combat holster (see pic showing G36) that you can order thru Amazon. It comes in two sizes so be careful to get the one for the G19. This hoster is fast, holds very securely and holds tight and high on you body. Cut the belt adjustment bars so the belt rides LOW across the holster -- NOT the way I did in the photo.

You and I have similar builds and I find an IWB holster makes too big a bump on my hip.

You WILL have a drawer full of holsters in the not too far distant future and there are LOTS of options. But for right now, go with the inexpensive, highly functional Glock holster.

You can ask Santa for a Garrett industries STX Champion leather lined kydex custom holster for Christmas...That is shown in the second picture.

Another vote for the Glock Sport Combat Holster. I've used one for my G19, G23 and G26 for about 2 years. It's a great starting point because it's extremely functional and inexpensive. It does everything a $150.00 OWB holster will do for less than $20.00 delivered.

Later, get something nicer looking if you wish.
