I picked up a cheap clamshell holster for about $10 at a local gun show. Fits my full size beautifully, and would do the same for your Officer model since the only thing it covers is the trigger and safety.

Kinda like this, only with super sexy 1911 instead of ugly cookie-cutter Glock...![]()

Please take everything I say with at least one grain of salt- I am a very sarcastic person with a very dry sense of humor.
5 Shot Leather.....John Ralston......only one you'll ever need.
Thanks guys. Everything I see is full size only. Would like a owb like a falcon but can't find anything that would fit. BTW, any good grips?
Milt Sparks Versa Max II. Spendy and worth every nickle. Easily the best for a 1911. Ebay has a bunch, but price gouging is rampant.
Milt Sparks Summer Special II runs a very close second. If you need one right now, Brownells sells them for 99 bucks, if you don't mind tan.
Otherwise, call them, order what you want, and settle in for a 5 month wait.

He makes one for a full-size 1911.

CrossBreed SuperTuck is very comfortable. The Comp-Tac Minotaur and White Hat holsters are similar designs.
Guns don't kill people. Drivers on cell phones do.
I use two, the Crossbreed Supertuck and the Pure Kustom Black Ops Pro. The Pure Kustom is a convertible holster, meaning it can be used both OWB or IWB which is real handy when traveling. One holster, two options.

Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights. Because you can't have five wolves and one sheep voting on what to have for supper.
I spent the $$$ and the wait, for a Milt Sparks, but when I received it, just could not get comfortable with it. Ordered a Crossbreed Super Tuck, and couldn't be happier. I have a Browning HI power, basically same as your 1911.
I have a Galco King Tuk. It's for a full size but my Kimber Ultra II fits great. It shields the entire length of the nose.
Milt Sparks Summer Special. It's a minimalist design, with the advantage of not taking up a half acre of your body's real estate in the name of comfort. Usually in stock at Brownell's.

Before shelling out the big bucks for something like a Crossbreed, consider an IWB holster from Theis Holsters. A link to my review is in my signature. He can even custom work in a weapons lights or laser or anything else special that you want done. Having both a Crossbreed and a Theis, I highly recommend the Theis holster for doing everything the Crossbreed does just as well, but for less.
If you are looking for a great IWB holster thats very comfortable with a great warranty check my holsters out. You can find the 1911 variants here. 1911
Each of my holsters is constructed using Kevlar stitching for a level of durability that can't be matched. Turnaround time now is just 3-5 days.

I just ordered a Milt Sparks Executive Companion for a Kimber Untra +. Won't get here until April. Does anyone have an opinion on the holster?

I've had mine for years, it's the only holster I have for my carry, and it's carried ALOT. No multiple holsters, just this one.
